Bridge is a big theme with tons of features for building any website you need instantly, no denying it.
The whole credit however goes to Qode, the developer, their exceptional support is one of the main reasons for the theme’s massive success. For the last five years, they haven’t released any other theme when I checked. The only thing they do right now is polishing the Bridge theme; Bridge customers build creative websites with elegant animations and layouts.
Qode is the developer behind the Bridge theme. Since its debut release back in April 2014, the Qode team has managed the theme well with regular updates and features. This theme has 4.77 ratings with over 100k+ sales.
Here in my review I’ll check how the Bridge theme performs, the worst part of it, and at the end of the day how easy is it for beginners to build their own website.

The demo layouts you will find that this WordPress theme is tailored for small business, brands, and startups. If you are creating a restaurant website with Bridge theme you get 23 amazing restaurant templates to choose from. Thus, with Bridge theme the amount of demo layouts you get for creating one website is huge; maybe one of the reason behind its huge success.
Is support swift?
The documentation and support for the theme is spot-on and every detailed has been accounted for. But this is also the downfall since the documentation is a bit hard for beginners. It requires basic knowledge of WordPress and website terminology.
As for support, the theme developer provides swift responsive to user queries. You don’t have to wait a long time to get the query answered. Overall I felt their after sales support is great and worth mentioning.
The theme cost $59 which is decent for a premium theme in 2019. Apart from the theme you get three premium plugins worth $114. These premium WordPress plugins are WpBakery Page Builder, Layer Slider, Revolution Slider.
Once you buy the theme you get free support for up to six months.
However, if you decide to buy additional support for another year you right now get a discount of $23.
This theme is a great deal when it comes to features and creative layout designs.

– No coding just clicks
Importing website layouts is easy with the Bridge one-click import feature. You get the choice to select from 370+ layouts where you can also install dependencies it recommends. Advanced options like importing demo images, content types also exist for advanced uses.
Once the website import is completed, the theme lets you customize your website layout in two ways:
- Qode Options
- Visual Composer options(for page layouts)
– Global Theme Options (customization for full website)
Features should be changed regardless of a demo layout as these features make any theme customization to the teeth.
When it comes to changing header navigation, footer & logo settings this theme scores a high five. You get full features to change colors, fonts, blog, portfolio, social sharing icons and also customizing advanced elements. Also, you get inbuilt mega menu,

Customization is clean and organized but the fact they advertise the theme being fully visually editable is a bit flawed.
Visual composer frontend is disabled by default. Video

Bridge supports wide variety of plugins and works well with most plugins. Officially supported plugins by the theme include:

Combining Demo Layouts?
Unfortunately, there is no straight forward option(or any option) to mix a section of one demo template with another demo. This is a major drawback of Bridge theme in my view.
Despite that, the Bridge theme deserves a 4.8/5 for its massive amount of layouts.
Not fast enough.
In the image look at the file size of the main stylesheets and jquery files.
Is there a work-around(fix) in the theme settings? Yes, in theme options you get options to disable 35+ Jquery scripts that are loaded on your website. It will take you some trail and run before disabling them.
– Coding & Markup
Upon checking I found this demo layout has overuse of H1 tags and this is sometimes considered bad for SEO. Here is a great explanation on how to use heading tags throughout the document.
Pros & Cons
- Huge number of demo layouts and superb designs
- Importing demo layouts and building a new website takes 1 minute
- The global theme options for customizing website is solid
- Great value for money product.
- GDPR compliance
- Not a modular design; you cant mix a part of one demo into a custom page
- The theme pulls a lot of unnecessary resources so the website becomes slow to load
- Page, portfolio, shop customization is limited
- Live preview missing for Qode options; you need to keep reloading website to check for minor changes(not cool)
- Gets stuck at 90% on importing 2nd or 3rd demo layout; workaround is to do a full reset(deletes all data) on each import
Let us try to score this WordPress theme on a rating of 5 for these below parameters.
|Design||Customization||Speed||Ease of use||Support||Final Score|
Bridge is a nice multipurpose theme with modern website layouts, interactive web elements, solid features, and great value for money. It triumphs over all other popular themes when it comes to money value.
